I have a question for you. Well actually two…but firstly, let me explain what prompted this.
I was sitting on the loo the other day, as we all do, staring at the calendar, as we all do, and wondering how the person who took the photo that was used for February was chosen for the job. Or how the photo was chosen. Anyway, it got me to thinking. We all have dreams, and passions. Something that drives us even if we aren’t particularly good at it. Like me with the photography.
Take this shot below. I love it. It breaks all the rules. But I love it. And all of the others in that album. Yet if I post that photo on one of the forums I frequent, most people will pick the shit out of it and tell me what is wrong with it. But someone somewhere might just like it enough to actually say something really nice about.

ANYWAY………as I was sitting on the loo the other day wondering about how that crappy picture was chosen for a calendar, I thought wouldn’t it be totally cool if some millionaire dot.com entrepreneur who was still actually in business, stumbled upon my humble little blog here and clicked their way through to my picasa albums and decided I was the best thing since sliced bread. So they shoot me an email asking if half a million for all my pics and another half a million retainer each year for first dibs on all my future photos for the next 10 years would be enough. Of course I reply I’d have to think about it, which is total and utter bullshit but hey, I would need time to pick myself up off the floor, reattach my jaw which has sunk through to China and go have a stiff drink or 10. My manners would then set in and my next reply would be “Bloody oath mate, I’m all yours!” Seeing as how he/she has megabucks, and a huge influence on the internet, I would then be an in demand photographer who can ask for megabucks simply because someone else with megabucks thinks I’m cool. And that is how I would love to be ‘discovered’ for my ‘photography.’
So to finally get back to those questions I mentioned way back when…
For WHAT and HOW would you like to be ‘discovered’?
It doesn’t have to be something your good at it. But it does have to be something you’d like to be famous for. That one thing that if you could do for the rest of your life, you wouldn’t feel like you were working. Let me know, either in the comments, or at your place. Um, singing or writing, the first one I don’t do very well, and the second one I haven’t had time to devote any energy to for a long time. I sometimes think of posting one of my stories or screenplays on-line, one chapter at a time and see what people think, but then I never find the time to do it. *sigh* LOVE the truck photos btw, but you already knew that.

I was just flitting through the internet and I just typed in bum fluff in the yahoo search engine (aged 24 and still got bum fluff??? Dont know how that works. I should have a full grown beard) lol, and low and behold I come across your website and looked at this current blog asking what and how you would be discovered. MMMM.
Ive got between two answers to go for. First I would love to be discovered being a first class movie maker of which many people would hire me for big time productions and I would be a multimillionaire by the end of next year (we all have dreams like that) and the other answer would be being discovered through my fantasy based literature and becoming bigger than JK Rowling. Ive always had an over active imagination and often I find myself getting lost creating plot twists for my storys and videos.
The second part of your question would be being discovered through website (livevideo.com) or by being at a convention where theres big times buisness moguls looking for new talent.
I think its good that we all have dreams and if we work hard enough I believe we can get there sooner or later by thinking positively and also letting noone else get in your way of your goals.
