Man I’m boring lately. Been going over some of the last posts and it seems that no regrets has descended into regular dribbles of what we’ve been doing. No rants, no funny stuff, just pics and a few words here and there that let you all know we are actually alive!! Well, it’s 7am in the morning and as we all know, I don’t do mornings, so to make it easy on myself, here is some more!!!! Believe it or not, I actually have a couple of REAL posts up my sleeve…I’m thinking I may actually get round to them in June or so…….anyway, on with the show!
Here is Zoe in her new school uniform complete with new do. She loves both. She’s starting at her new school in a couple of hours and is all excited! She was literally bouncing when we were up there yesterday so we’ll see how she goes today.
This is what was left on the plate after my first roast in the new oven. Roast lamb complete with garlic and FRESH rosemary straight from the front yard, golden roast vegies and some honeyed carrots and beans, all topped off with gravy…yum yum pigs lambs bum! Did I tell you the oven is fan forced??! I know, I’m easily amused, but if you’d seen the old oven at the other place and the results of some of my attempts at cooking in it you’d understand why this excites me. I’ve been baking bikkies and muffins and it’s just freakin marvelous. Look out for some new recipes that are now firm favorites with the kiddies.
Allow me to introduce Archie. The cat. Obviously. He’s a funny thing and he is so damn smoochy lately! Could have something to do with the fact that the poor bugger was in boarding for two weeks before being put on a plane and bought down here. That was delayed by two days because of the flooding at the airport…and like all animals, he don’t care. He still loves us!
Ok, now for a bit of a rant. This is a little gift I got in the mail yesterday with thanks to Telstra. Apparently they want us to choose their broadband now that we are in the new house. NEVER HAPPEN! In true telstra style, I’m expecting these seeds, which the packet says are petunia, to actually grow a lemon tree or possibly even some weeds. Anything other than what the packet says. Oh I’m also expecting whatever grows to use way more water than a normal plant and possibly even try and eat the cat. That is what they do best. Offer you one thing, actually deliver something completely different and then bill you incorrectly, or charge you for shit you never asked for. They take, take and then take some more. I don’t really like them can you tell?!
Now to the last pic. This is just one of the many little things found around the house while Aidan was here. There were more farts and burps (both real and contrived) than at a Sunday session with the boys and you never knew just what was around the corner… kids are just so much fun during the ‘toilet humor’ stages aren’t they?!!!
Well there you have it. Our life at the moment while we slowly try and obtain that far off ideal of NORMALITY. I think I can actually see it hiding under the couch……

Zoe is growing up, Kel.
Man, you can see it in her face. Still a cutie, too.
As for Archie, we should introduce him to my male Sherlock.
They could be lounging buddies.
Sounds like things are going well. As far as the blogging thing, you’ll get back into the swing of it when the time is right.
The little rant above was vintage Kel. Kinda funny. I miss that.
