still doing tourist!

We went to the Sydney Aquarium on Tuesday. It was great. The kids totally loved it and I must admit I was a little impressed too. Although with the admission price, we’d wanna be! But it was worth every cent of it.

From Sydney Aquarium

This sign amused me no end…I mean when you see a sign that has a big red circle and a line going through it, that usually means that you can’t do it, or it won’t happen, or there isn’t that thing…so does this sign mean that the crocodile WON’T eat you?!! :?:

I know we are doing touristy things a lot, mainly because Aidan is here and it’s school holidays and we have just arrived…..but I hope we don’t stop. Too often it’s not until you are about to leave a place that you think ‘gee I wish we’d gone and done that!’ I know we did that when we left Sydney last time and did make an effort to play tourist in our own town. But this time, I’m not going to let that happen, not going to leave it until the last minute so to speak. I think that we should embrace the fact that Tony’s job means we WILL be posted around and take advantage of all the wonderful places we have the opportunity to explore. So with that in mind I’m going to challenge myself, and you, my readers, to make a list of all the things that you would tell a visitor to your town or area and actually do them all. I’ll add another page and cross things off as we do them. Why don’t you do the same? Come back and leave a link if when you do. I’ll have mine up by the end of the week.

Have fun people! Tony and Aidan have headed into the city for the day, a bit of one on one time for them doing something that I know would totally freak Zoe out. We have yet to decide what we will be doing as yet….I’m sure whatever it is though I’ll be taking the camera and there’ll be more pics

Speaking of pics, that photo up there is part of ANOTHER album I’ve uploaded. Some of them are blurry, but a lot were taken through glass and my attempts at asking the fish to slow down cos my flash sucks and the camera doesn’t do so good in low light didn’t really work…..

You should purchase an entertainment booklet… http://www.entertainmentbook.com.au it’s got coupons for little cafe’s, like in parramatta park (where you can go in and bycle around and sit in the cafe by the water and have some lunch etc) and for the zoo and all sorts of things… some are two for one vouchers… but it’s pretty good because it gives you a reason as well as a list to go to things… it’s like… “well that’s a bit expensive… but i’ve got a discount coupon!!!”… it’s also got two for ones for pizza hut, subway etc etc in it… my friend had one in year 12 and we had a blast driving around just going to whatever we had a coupon for :P

After our initial forays into the city on the train, which by the way is an hour and a half, we’ll be sticking a little closer to home for the time being  Looks like there is a new one of those coming out soon so may look at it then!!! Thanks for the heads up love!

Up past Kurrajong just at the hights WAS a gras skiing centre (we never did do well on those, i came up with a brilliant way of stopping….run into the fence) but they also had go carts, its a blast, if its still there I’m sure you both would find it an experience at least!

Between you and Sarah, I have my very own built in tour guides!!!! Were you drunk when you commented here mate? Your spelling and punctuation is atrocious!! :P

Good God those creatures are big.
Glad a good time was had by all.
